One of the most amazing pups you can find is the Fluffy French Bulldog. They are nature’s teddy bears with just a splash of gremlin. The perfect balance for Frenchies.
Fluffy Frenchie Colors
These Frenchies come in all the different, existing colors found on the French Bulldog. You can have fluffy varieties that include:
- Lilac
- Isabella
- Blue
- Chocolate
- Cream
- Platinum
- Black
- Fawn
The Fluffy Frenchies are just like any other Frenchie, however, they carry two important genes. The long-hair genes are recessive, meaning there need to be two copies present for a Frenchie to have long hair.

Long-Hair Fluffy Gene
We aren’t sure when the L1/L4 fluffy gene started appearing in the French Bulldog. With the advancements in DNA testing technology, breeders are better able to identify long hair carriers. A long hair or fluffy carrier has only one copy of the Fluffy gene. This means they do not appear Fluffy, however they can produce Fluffy pups. That is the case with our studs, Elon & Bezos.

It is commonly wondered if this is a naturally occurring gene in the French Bulldog. However, French Bulldogs are a mixed breed. They were bred to chase rats and vermins many years ago and some of the breeds were known to have long hair. These fluffy miracles were the result!

It can not be determined 100% when the long-hair gene was introduced. The French Bulldog is a mixed breed and is open to interpretation on when the breed was considered to be pure. The breeds that makeup today’s Frenchie were known to have long hair.
There is no known health risks linked to the long-hair gene.
They are still somewhat rare and expensive as a result.
They grow at the same rate as a standard French Bulldog. Between 18-28 lbs.
